Still very cool and moose meat I hear is delicious!!! Congrats and good luck on the Duck Hunting!!!
Thanks Sid, we have ver been skunked so if we are successful on the draw then we are almost guaranteed Moose Meat in the freezer. Not that we are inubdated with moose more we are very good hunters..................... The first pic shows the type of terrain, old and dying Balsam Polars with an understudy of grass and Alders. Close range shooting for sure, 375 H&H Ruger #1. Second pic shows the frost on the underbrush. 3rd is moose and the honda game retreival vehicle on the bargs, sorry for the darkness of the pic and last is the crew loading the moose into the truck. We could have set up the "donkey" but many hands make for light work. Next is the Duck season Oct 1st and then Deer opening on the 19th.

It's not the Game but the Chase; not the Trophy but the Race!
Lost I have duck boy talked into trading you some gator for some moose. There is going to be a bunch of gator meat around after the high Tide this weekend.![]()
good luck !!! lol
I've eaten a lot of different things but not gator, yet!
Well the Tide came in and there are a bunch of crying gators around here. Plenty of meat to share. I made some Gator gumbo for Thanksgiving in honor of the high Tide. Was mighty delicious if I dont say so myself. Duck Boy took half a pot home himself. If you you would like to swap out some meat let us know, never had moose.![]()
You're too late, it's all gone................. lol
LOLH!!! Hopefully I will make it up there to get my own one day!! You never know its on the bucket list.
Thats alright Lost the tide came in again and we ate some longhorn for dinner last night. Although in Dallas they were eating eagle. We hope to get another eagle this weekend to get nice and fat for the winter. Shoot their aint any ducks flying this way so we might as well find something else.![]()
recently picked up a motor from a snowblower to finsih making a long tail motor for the barges and the duck boats, pics to follow. I have everything now except the prop to make it.
That would be cool. Please post them. What HP motor are you going to use?
I originally thought 6 HP but the Snowblower has an 8HP, luckily I haven't yet purchased the prop but will keep you informed on the progress
