    Default Terry's Dove Hunt

Well Saturday Terry aka "old Marine" invited a few of us on a dove hunt his lovely wife bought at a silent auction. What a blast, the little grey rockets were moving well and Vader got to retieve his first birds. The fun thing was he was doing it in waist high grass and was getting better as the day was progressing. He found some lost birds mostly Dallas's. I want to thank Terry for inviting us. Oh they did feed us good too, ribs, chicken, beans and slaw.

Yea Quaily he is hard headed, I hope you have some tips on how to handle this. I do not want to keep a check cord on him all the time so is there an alternative. He does get excited when the guns go off. At the end of the day he was actually watching where the doves were falling and going after them. He still needs a ton of work, any advice or excercises you can reccomend would be appreciated.
Also Terry might be looking for a new pup, I will mention it to him.
Yea Dallas he did seem extra heavy after lunch, now I know who was slipping him the ribs.

Yes Lostknife he is definitly putting paw prints in the household but his favorite thing to do is eat my daughters flip flops/sandals and my wifes slippers although she makes him retrieve them for her if she catches him early enough. She has had some soggy feet.
