I agree to that too, my Baretta is a 1200F model (Benelli recoil) but the SBE digests 1 oz lead light loads in paper just as well , and as fast, as the 3" 2 oz lead fodder. It's really a joy to shoot and I like to shoot lol

I have purchased and installed a poly choke for my new SBE. I haven't patterned it yet but am hopeful that it will do almost as well as the fixed choke both for steel and lead.
Has anyone had any experience with this combo?
My Poly is the non vented type (shorter)

If I am hunting in a land blind I like my over and under but if I am in a boat blind the pump or auto is fine with me. I do know with my Citori I am more selective with my shots.

Yes that is true. THe third shot can pose a problem at times. I have a 935 that has turned out to be a good blind gun, it can be banged around and you don't feel as bad paddeling with it!!

Yep, you're right, my new SBE II is as fast but doesn't like the home grown used trap paper cases loaded with 7/8 oz Pb with cork and paper wads....... just trying to be environmentally concious when in the heat of the shoot and can't find and retreive all the fired cases.

I'm lloking to buy or trade a 28" barrel for the new SBE II Black for a 24". Any suggestions as to where I can find one of these at a reasonable price? Perhaps someone has a new 24 and wants a 28? Open for suggestions

There are several places to look, www.gunbroker.com they have some stuff on there and people looking to trade all the time. There is a little gun shop near me called Peterson's Gun shop they do trades like that sometimes, you might see what they will work out for you. I will keep and eye out for you.

Well I have never used 3 -1/2" cartridge in this shotgun and quite frankly probably never will, I have a 10 ga for the heavy stuff. But the 7/8 oz paper cased load is for partridge and rabbits so I really don't envision using the SBE II there as I have a BPS upland special and a short barrel Beretta 1200 (Benelli) that handles these loads without fail.
The SBE II was bought for Duck hunting using steel shot 3", the fact that it won't cycle 7/8 oz paper really doesn't matter and also that it won't shoot 3-1/2" 10 ga loads doesn't matter either, a few shotguns over 50 years of hunting isn't very much investment per year!
My Subaru Forester won't haul my 10,000 lb trailer either.... That's what I have a Diesel Dodge for!

I know what you mean. I don't shoot 3 1/2 either other than for turkeys that is it. I can't take the recoil. You really don't need it if your shooting a 10g too. most of the guys shoot them for geese or bigger birds. I for one would prefer to shoot 2 3/4 if I thought it had any kind of down range velocity. I can say I have turkey hunted with a 20g and I did pretty good with it just had to get them a little closer to me!!
